Kristin has been working with the sister missionaries (Sister Moore and Sister Fatkin) teaching our neighbor down the street. She is really sad that both sisters are being transfered and ELDERS are taking over our ward...She loved the Sisters.
Emily swam with the Woodbridge team this year for a few months. She loves swimming, in fact, if she could, she would be in the water at all times!!! GO EMILY!!! Soccer team starts in a couple of weeks.
We were able to go to the SD Temple this past Friday for a wedding. The SD Temple is so beautiful. So white against the BLUE sky!!!! Kristin is standing on the ledge were the brides and grooms come out of the temple.
Kristin and Emily just can't stay away from the Beach this year!!! They are even getting a bit tan this year. The weather is always so nice here in Southern California. We love it!!!!
We wanted to help do some service, so we went to the Cannery. It was all kinds of fun. We canned, milk, apples, flour, sugar, black beans and rice. You name it, we put it in a CAN!!!!
Emily and her friend Jonny Boy were doing paddle camp this week, they got to kayak around the North Shore. They loved it so much, they may do it again next week!!!!
Emily missed soccer in California last year due to getting here too late, so this year we made sure she was ready. She says soccer is her favorite sport, and is ready to give it a try again this year. She has a strong leg and kick, and now only needs to work on conditioning!!! Good luck this year!!! Her cousin Josh came to practice with us. I think the soccer ball is bigger than he is!!! What a cutie cousin Emily has. Watch out Emily, Josh is looking pretty good at his soccer skills.
One of our friends (Jim Grahl) has been working on this type of Faberge Egg for about the last 16-18 years, little by little. It is a replica of a carousel in San Diego, exactly, of course miniture. Same animals on the carousel, same oil painting around the outside and inside, a total of 180 which were done with one hair of a brush because it was so small. It is a musical egg as well, it plays up to 20 songs. This is one beautiful EGG masterpiece, and we got to see it before it was taken today to San Diego for Display. Awesome!!!!!
Emily took summer school to learn about the world of DRAMA. She and her classmates put on a end of year play, called "The Best Little Theater in Town". Emily played Yukino Fukase, the theater's director. She had a fun time as you can see from video clip. Maybe it will be Hollywood here she comes!!!!!
